Back in the Hamptons for the second year, Adriana Castro’s ‘La Costa’ Pop-Up is open at Capri Hotel in Southampton until Columbus Day. The pop-up is a curated haven of handbags, accessories, and handpicked favorites from the visionary founder and creative director. Guests will be treated—and I say this from personal experience, Adriana is more than a gem—to a chance to meet Adriana Castro and even have her design your own custom piece!
Adriana Castro, the woman and the brand, are synonymous with the ‘slow luxury’ philosophy, reflected in her signature blend of traditional artisanal techniques and meticulous design. Authenticity, profound meaning, and a sense of coherence are imbued and interwoven into each creation.
On Capri Hotel, beautifully realized in a watercolor on her website, Castro is enthusiastic. “I am beyond thrilled to be collaborating with Capri. Capri isn’t just a place, it’s an attitude. ‘La Costa’ isn’t just a destination, it’s an experience.”
Founded with the aim of seamlessly merging timeless craftsmanship with contemporary elegance, Adriana’s passion is instantly visible, as are the high-quality materials and thoughtful crafting. Her belief in the enduring quality of thoughtfully made items is clear—each piece is timeless, destined to become a cherished heirloom for generations to come.

I just had the pleasure of attending a party featuring homeware by Adriana at a recent luncheon at East Hampton’s Maidstone Inn. Her homeware is enchanting with playful design, never overbearing or kitsch. It is the perfect accompaniment for meals and even as decorations—definitely as decorations if these plates were in my mother’s kitchen!
The La Costa pop-up is open until after Columbus Day, which is closer than anyone wants to admit, but still gives you time to remember an important lesson about vacations: people will happily hear your vacation stories if you give them a gift.
You’ll likely keep it for yourself because the designs are timeless and sure to become a generational heirloom. That is the power of Adriana’s unwavering passion for the process of ‘slow luxury’.
Listen, everybody has a kitchen you don’t have to be expecting guests to appreciate having nice serving dishes. This is less of a sales pitch than a reminder to people (myself included) who aren’t always the best at gift-giving.
Anyone who has been to a dinner party and found the homeware uninspired or, tragically, disposable, knows the difference high-quality and beautiful homeware makes in elevating any meal or event.
Adriana Castro is no stranger to the Hamptons, and this is the second year that she has popped up on the East End. Once you meet her and see her designs, you’ll see the vision.
