Beautiful summer days are nearly upon us, and that means it’s time to break out the summer outfits! Who better to consult than celebrity stylists Danielle and Alix? They’ve recently partnered with Marc Fisher LTD to curate the ultimate spring and summer wardrobe.
The fashionable duo recently sat down with Hamptons.com to discuss their partnership with Marc Fisher LTD, current fashion trends, and their love for The Hamptons.
Why is Marc Fisher the perfect fashion partner?
We love how timeless the Marc Fisher brand is; when pulling shoes for clients, we always know we can find an assortment of styles from Marc Fisher LTD that lean into the trends while also remaining classic. A lot of times, we’re looking for a shoe that adds the perfect final touch to a look, and Marc Fisher is always reliable for that. With that, they are without a doubt the most comfortable shoes we own, whether it be a boot for all-day walking around NYC, or a heel for a red carpet.
What is your favorite Marc Fisher LTD shoe and how would you style it?
Alix: The Posey – it’s the perfect day-to-night kitten heel. Try styling with a lace sock and a skirt for an unexpected twist on this shoe.
Dan: The Lenore – it’s my favorite of the collection and go to slide on for errands or to the beach, the raffia material elevates the shoe for a put together feel and I love adding a chunky sock.
What are some of your favorite fashion trends?
We’re obsessed with ballet flats right now, especially when styled in a unique way, like with an oversized blazer or vintage t-shirt. We especially are loving the denim Lailah to pair with your favorite boyfriend jeans – a D&A go-to look.
The Posey is another style that is truly timeless, will last forever! Everyone needs a kitten heel in their closet, something that’s comfortable to walk around and command your day in, while also elevating and dressing up your look.
What are some trends you wish never come back?
We’re all about adapting to new trends and interpreting them in our own way, but we can definitely live without skinny jeans making a comeback – we love an oversized, baggy denim look! A few months ago, we would have also added capri pants to that list, but we’re starting to see capri jeans & leggings come back in style, and we’re not mad about it – also a great way to show off a great summer shoe!
You have a Hamptons Party to attend; walk us through the outfit?
Our Hamptons style can be described as “simple” & “cool-girl” – what we love to do is layer on fun & interesting accessories, bags, and shoes to a more basic outfit. For example, we’d opt for a great white tank or tee, a baggy boyfriend jean or vintage denim skirt. From there, add on a more stylized shoe such as the Lilah Mary Jane Ballet Flats or the Lenore Sandal for a beach or poolside party – both styles in the natural colorway are so perfect for Hamptons style. Then, add on layers and layers of charm & pearl jewelry, and a great bag!
What are some of your favorite places to visit in the Hamptons?
Too many to name! We love a lunch at Duryea’s, sunsets at Crow’s Nest, and dinner at East Hampton Grill. For a night out, you can of course catch us at a Surf Lodge concert, or for a more relaxed evening at Marram in Montauk for a beach bonfire. Once we’re out east, we always love to visit Macari Vineyards in the North Fork – the best winery!
