Jeff Goldblum will perform at Canoe Place Inn in Hampton Bays on Thursday, July 25, joined by The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. This show is part of a series presented by Murmrr in partnership with LPR Presents. Goldblum channeled his love of music and the piano into the formation of the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra alongside musician and producer John Mastro in the ‘90s. The group has played shows from coast to coast, including a weekly residency at New York’s Carlyle Hotel in 2014.
Jeff Goldblum and The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra released their debut studio album The Capitol Studio Sessions in 2018 on Decca Records, which debuted at number one on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart. The next year saw the release of I Shouldn’t Be Telling You This. The albums pull from both of Goldblum’s worlds in film and music with features from creatives and musicians such as Fiona Apple, Sarah Silverman, Imelda May and trumpeter Till Brönner. Their most recent album Plays Well With Others was released last year and expands on the group’s sonic world.
Goldblum has performed several shows at LPR with The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra in recent years, including an LPR Presents show at The Town Hall last spring. The July show is the perfect chance to get to know Jeff Goldblum’s musical side through The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra and experience the group’s musical unity.
