What inspired the SSO by Danielle collection?
DB: I started my blog, WeWoreWhat eight years ago with the tagline: ‘overalls are my second skin’. Overalls were a staple in my wardrobe that I loved to wear because of their simplicity, comfort and versatility – I wore them casually and at night. I collected vintage pairs and bought new styles from both high street and luxury brands, but never found a pair that was perfect in fit and price. I was eager to create the perfect overall and jumpsuit that my followers would feel good in. SSO by DB has since designed over 15 styles in a range of colors and fabrics. Nearly every style has sold out within 24 hours and the overall has resonated with a wider audience of all ages and sizes. SSO by DB continues to grow and we have many new styles on the horizon – some exciting Fall pieces will launch at the end of August, exclusively at SSO by Danielle.
Tell us a bit about your collaborations with Onia Swimwear + Lulu DK.
DB: This was my second collection with Onia. It is such a fun, seamless collaboration both times and the Onia team made the entire process easy and always does such a great job at making my vision come to life.
Lulu DK approached me about creating a collection of simple, gold jewelry that was not only affordable, but looked of a higher price point. This was my first time doing a jewelry collaboration and it was really fun and different for me.
What trends are you loving at the moment?
DB: Biker shorts and big sleeved tops. I’ve been loving blazer dresses, as well.

When curating an outfit, where do you start?
DB: I usually plan an outfit after seeing a photo that inspires me or if I have a new piece I really want to wear, like a pair of pants or shoes. I’ll start with one piece and plan the rest of the look around that.
For those looking to up their fashion game, what advice would you offer?
DB: Take risks – it’s fun stepping out of your comfort zone every once in a while. Also, don’t be intimidated by designer looks. There’s always a way to recreate a look for less!
When in the Hamptons, what are your go-to spots?
DB: I love going to dinner at Crow’s Nest and then of course drinks and out at Surf Lodge! There’s always the lunch staples Lobster Roll and Wölffer Kitchen.
Are you working on any other projects at the moment?
DB: So many! Stay tuned!
