Eclectic New Montauk Boutique Set To Debut Over Memorial Day Weekend

RM 09, a new seasonal boutique featured at Haven Montauk hotel, will make its Hamptons debut over Memorial Day weekend. Named after the re-configured guestroom it’s located in, the shop will carry an unique array of apparel, beach accessories, children’s items, and health and beauty aids. RM 09 will also include an annex from NYC’s PlantShed offering succulent plants.

“The store is meant to enhance the guest experience,” noted owner Eric Mourkakos. “It’s more than just clothes on a rack.”

The Montauk boutique will showcase beloved indie brands, like Enjoué swimwear, handbags from Mar Y Sol, jewelry from Amanda Pearl, and custom beach paddles, boogie boards and hand-woven Turkish towels from ArteMare. Shoppers can even pick up items for their little ones like, apparel from Indego Africa and beach toys for some fun in the sun.

“We are planning some really fun events and pop-ups,” shared Mourkakos. On select weekends, RM 09 will host interactive experiences for shoppers, such as making their own tie-dye T-Shirts with Wave-N-Rave’s Matthew Gebbert. Stop by on Sundays, to cultivate your green thumb during NYC’s PlantShed workshops in succulent plant design or enjoy a presentation featuring custom woven leather pots from the artisans at All Hands NYC.

“The store will be constantly evolving,” said Haven Director Jenny Cabido. “The presentation and special events are meant to embrace the small town ethos of Montauk and will include the entire family.”
