This holiday weekend, stop into the newly opened Fork + Rose in Water Mill for all your house decorating needs. The shop will debut just in time for 4th of July weekend, on Friday, July 1st.
Inspired by her love of tableware, home decor, memories, and travel, owner Kathie Mullin introduces her first store, following the launch of her new business. For many years, Mullin worked as a yacht and house manager where she staged apartments, set tables, and organized floral arrangements among other responsibilities. “There has been a constant throughout that came clear to me, and it was not only my love to create and maintain a beautiful home (or yacht), but also to set an amazing table,” noted Millin. “And that is where I found Fork & Rose.”
Her recent trip to Tulum, Mexico in February of this year solidified her plan to open her own shop. “I was completely inspired, and while there I came across these amazing throw pillows that I just needed to bring to the Hamptons, which is exactly what I did and it was the first order I placed,” she explained. “The company is called La Troupe Tienda and they have really beautiful thing. I can’t wait to put my next order in so I can bring some throw blankets up as well.”
