“East Hampton is such an important part of my childhood and there is nothing more important than to preserve history around you,” explained Lauder. “The East Hampton Historical Society does a beautiful job in maintaining some of the most iconic properties in America and I am honored to be co-chairing this year’s Antique Show, showcasing some of the most incredible art, jewelry and collectibles.”
The 2016 show will focus on vintage decorative items for both inside the home and outdoor living space. Highlights will include classic rattan and bamboo furniture, lighting, textiles, architectural elements, American and European country decorated furniture, Art Deco and Moderne, garden ornaments, wrought-iron accessories, industrial items, paintings, trade signs, period jewelry, weathervanes, and mirrors, all of which will be available for purchase.
A beloved shopping ritual for collectors and dealers alike, the Antiques Show will provide the chance for guests to browse through and purchase a plethora of goods and arts that were curated by an eclectic selection of over 50 distinguished antiques and art dealers. When attendees need to take a break to contemplate which glorious goods they’ll leave with, they can visit the on-site cafe for a light breakfast and lunch, and yes, the cafe’s famous lobster roll is among options.
