On Saturday, July 30th, Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance (OCRFA) is presenting the 19th annual Super Saturday Hamptons, the premier shopping event of the summer season.
Hosted by Kelly Ripa, Donna Karan and Gabby Karan de Felice, the daylong extravaganza has been dubbed “the Rolls-Royce of garage sales” by The New York Times. From 12 p.m. (Preview Admission) or 1 p.m. (General Admission) to 6 p.m., luxury name brands in high fashion, accessories, beauty, children’s and home goods will come together at Nova’s ARK Project in Water Mill to offer a 30 to 50 percent off discount to attendees. More than 150 beloved brands, including alice + olivia, Brooks Brothers, Club Monaco, Henri Bendel, Kenneth Cole, Kiehls, MILLY, Ralph Lauren, Robert Graham, Scoop NYC, Shoshanna, SoulCycle, and VINCE, are participating. And little ones can’t get enough of the kids’ carnival and Camp Divalysscious.
While it is quite a jovial affair, Super Saturday also sheds light on a serious cause. “As the voice of ovarian cancer, Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance (OCRFA) has hosted Super Saturday NY for the past 19 years to further our mission of ending this terrible disease,” explained Audra Moran, President and CEO, Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance. “The net proceeds from this event help us advance both private and federal funding for ovarian cancer research and awareness, advocate for policies that give women access to services they need, and support the brave women and their families going through diagnosis.”
This year shoppers can expect an extraordinary marketplace that features clothes, accessories, home goods and more that were specially curated by co-hosts Donna Karan and Gabby Karan De Felice. And once again, Rachel Zoe will showcase a compilation of must-have pieces from designers like Erin Fetherston, Moschino, Oscar de la Renta, Rachel Zoe Collection, Stella McCartney and Temperley London.
New York-based modern artist Jeremy Penn will make his Super Saturday debut. Throughout the afternoon, he will create four custom 30″ x 40” pieces on-site and attendees can bid on the exclusive one-of-a-kind artwork during OCRFA’s silent auction.
“I have both lost loved ones to ovarian cancer and watched loved ones battle it and win. We all need the same courage to stand up and raise awareness about ovarian cancer as the brave women who have to fight it,” Penn explained. “My art is an exploration into the undeniable strength of women. Whatever philanthropic role I can play to help the cause, is the least I can do.”
Last year’s event raised $3.4 million for OCRFA, making it the biggest fundraiser on the East End. Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance is the largest global organization that is committed to advancing ovarian cancer research and also supporting women and their families. 100 percent of proceeds from Super Saturday 19 supports the organization’s programs, such as vital ovarian cancer research led by the nation’s top scientists.
“We are grateful for everyone’s continued participation in this designer charity garage sale – from the shoppers and designers, to our sponsors, vendors and suppliers, as they all join us in our fight to eliminate ovarian cancer,” added Moran.
Tickets are $150 for children and adult tickets begin at $450.
