One Kings Lane, a premier destination for home shopping and interior design services, will open its first store in the Hamptons this summer. Located in the iconic former Rogers Memorial Library, the Southampton store will serve as the brand’s largest-scale retail opening to date.
The summer pop-up will be open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, offering shoppers access to a wide range of the brand’s highly coveted products, free design consultations with in-house interior designers, and exceptional retail entertainment.
“Opening our first street-level physical retail location is a major step for One Kings Lane in our mission to help our customers live their personal style, and we are thrilled to be able to do so in such an iconic summer destination,” shared Debbie Propst, president of One Kings Lane.
The store’s opening marks the first time that 11 Jobs Lane will be used as a retail space. R. H. Robertson, a highly esteemed architect that designed numerous houses, institutional buildings and churches, designed the two-story library, which was built in 1895. It opened to the public in 1896 and an extension designed by Grosvenor Atterbury was added in 1915. After the Rogers Memorial Library moved to its current facility on Coopers Farm Road in 2000, the space served as Parrish Art Museum’s Carroll Petrie Center for Education until it was sold to Manhattan and Sagaponack resident Jonathan S. Sobel in 2012.
The 3,500-square-foot ground-floor space that One Kings Lane will occupy will highlight the revitalization of the Hamptons landmark with the brand’s immersive lifestyle experience that showcases items “in a realistic and livable but also surprising setting.” The store will feature a curated collection of products that can be found in-store and online, as well as exclusive furnishings and one-of-a-kind vintage pieces that the brand is known for.
“As we are always looking to push the boundaries of traditional retail, partnering with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Retail to occupy the historic 11 Jobs Lane space felt like the perfect fit and will undoubtedly be a terrific way to engage the local community and be an organic, local resource for home and design,” added Propst.
Those who plan on updating their humble abode will enjoy the convenience of One Kings Lane’s complimentary in-house design service, The Studio at One Kings Lane. To start the process customers can book an appointment on OneKingsLane.com, where they will be asked a few key questions about their project that will help match them with a designer. Once paired, they’ll meet one-on-one with a One Kings Lane interior designer to discuss and plan out their exciting project.
The brand will also present collaborative partnerships, interactive events, and designer pop-ups throughout the summer.
