The Kooples, a contemporary French fashion brand known for its rock’n’roll aesthetic, is visiting Montauk this June.
From Wednesday, May 30 through Sunday, June 3, The Kooples is setting up shop at The Surf Lodge in Montauk. The pop up, which marks the first time that the brand has had a physical retail presence in the Hamptons, will feature a curated assortment from The Kooples’ recently released “hippie-chic and gypsy-inspired” Sunrise capsule collection.
“We were looking to expand our reach in New York and pursuing a retail opportunity in the Hamptons felt like the right next step for the brand that would coincide with the launch of our Sunrise collection,” Samantha Ozuna, President – Executive Director North America for The Kooples, noted. “Partnering with Montauk staple, The Surf Lodge, to bring The Kooples out east for the first time ever was the obvious best choice.”
The line encompasses kimonos, long dresses and harem pants, available in an assortment of bright prints. Additionally, Emily by the Kooples handbags, which were co-designed by the brand’s muse, model, Emily Ratajkowski, will also be onsite. For the gentlemen, lightweight, graphic print shirts and chino pants with a vintage-Californian vibe can be found.
“Our Sunrise collection is a celebration of summertime, which perfectly aligns with the beachside beauty and dynamic energy of The Surf Lodge,” Ozuna added.
The pop-up shop will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday,
