While Hallockville Museum Farm’s Country Parlor was already a magical holiday happening, this year is particularly special as the pop up seasonal shopping extravaganza can now be visited throughout two weekends.
“We love this event because it also supports the tradition of people making things by hand,” Lisa Pepe, Hallockville Museum Farm reflected.
The 2018 Country Parlor Holiday Folk Art & Gift Show will be held Friday, November 23 through Sunday, November 25 and return Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2. The holiday fair will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the exception of the Parlor’s launch – when it will open at 9 a.m.
There will be no shortage of holiday cheer at the one-of-a-kind event held at Hallockville’s historic Naugles Barn, where every single item on display will be homemade by crafters and artists. Hallockville spends days transforming the locale into a spectacular winter wonderland covering every last surface with exquisite handmade treasures like rustic Santas, tree ornaments, holiday home decor, and gift baskets. There will also be at minimum six, that’s right six, Christmas trees that will be gorgeously embellished with handmade ornaments.
While there will be plenty of special holiday themed products, there will also be a myriad of other items – such as pottery, scarves, mittens, quilted items, stocking stuffers and more.
“We want these arts to continue and thrive and hope that people visit the show appreciate the time, effort and immense skill that goes into each and every piece,” Pepe added.
