With the weather finally starting finally starting to feel like spring, many public East End golf courses are opening for the 2013 season including a few in the Hamptons.
The Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation hope to see golfers return to the New York State greens soon. Commissioner Rose Harvey stated, “Golf is a sport that promotes spending a great amount of time interacting with the outdoors, and we find it increasingly important that New York State Parks offer our world-class courses and unparalleled views to the public at a great value.”
Open courses include Montauk Downs (631-668-5000) in Montauk, the Sag Harbor course (631-725-2503), Sunken Meadow (631-269-5351) in Kings Park, and The Blue, Green, Red, and Yellow Courses at Bethpage (516-249-0700) in Farmingdale.
