Wings Over Haiti supporters, including designer Nicole Miller, gathered at The Watermill Center in Water Mill for “Hamptons Artists For Haiti” – a benefit that raised funds to build Wings Over Haiti’s second school in Haiti. The evening included an art show and silent auction curated by folioeast, raffle, food from Noah’s, wine from Channing Daughters and Wölffer Estate, cocktails from Montauk Rumrunners and Sagaponack Farm Distillery, and music by Alfredo Merat.
Former Olympian, four time NYC Marathon winner and four time Boston Marathon winner, Bill Rodgers and first-ever women’s Olympic marathon champion, Joan Benoit Samuelson were among those who competed in the 38th Annual Shelter Island 10K/5K Run/Walk, a USA track and field certified course, and part of the Grand Prix Series, which will culminate with Cow Harbor (September 16, 2017). Post-race, runners and friends celebrated at The Runners Festival, produced and sponsored by John Kowolenko of Hampton Event Management International, at the Island Boatyard and Marina on Shelter Island. The event featured music by DJ Twilo, local artisan food trucks, a photo booth, kids fun area, and more.
