It is only fitting that a benefit at the Charles and Tee Adams House take place on a notoriously superstitious day of the year. On Friday, June 13, the Charles and Tee Adams House Benefit Cocktail Party will take place in Sagaponack. Guests can tour the house and studio of Charles Adams to see where he imagined his ghoulish creatures, upon which “The Adams Family” is based, and view his original work. The benefit will include great seafood, music, and wine on his incredible estate.
Ship 908 of the Sea Scouts, the maritime division of the Boy Scouts of America’s Venture Program, began their ambitious journey to replenish Southampton Town’s ponds’ and bays’ shellfish populations in 2012. Within four months, their efforts had affected the community in such a way, that Ship 908’s project became one for the entire community. In 2013, with the donated expertise of carpenters, Ship 908 realized their dream of the Conscience Point Shellfish Hatchery. Due to Ship 908’s extraordinary efforts, every week nearly 150,000 oysters have doubled in size. The Charles and Tee Adams House Cocktail Party’s proceeds will support the completion of the Conscience Point Shellfish Hatchery with purchases of special equipment necessary for shellfish protection and cultivation.
