Artists Against Abuse, the Hampton’s largest annual benefit event intended on ending domestic violence, will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Ross School Lower Campus in Bridgehampton. The event supports The Retreat, the Island’s only comprehensive domestic violence service organization, by bringing together locals, artists and philanthropists to help the cause.
Artists Against Abuse has raised substantial funds over the past 19 years, impacting more than 16,000 local families and emphasizing their continued support for battered women and their children. In support of The Retreat’s mission to “provide safety, shelter and support for victims of domestic violence,” various East End organizations and individuals have rallied together to sponsor this year’s event.

The Midsummer Night Fever themed benefit will honor Congressman Tim Bishop, an avid advocate of the Violence Against Women’s Act. “I have always been a strong advocate for the needs and rights of women. Women play integral roles in the global community and they deserve to be treated with respect by their male counterparts,” Bishop said.
Attendees of the event, which will include actress and activist Rachel Grant, will enjoy games, dancing and music by DJ MKL of Jarrell Entertainment while viewing original works of art and participating in a silent auction.
Artists Against Abuse is on Saturday, June 21, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.
