On Sunday, October 23rd, join Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center (WHBPAC) for an enchanting afternoon in celebration of WHBPAC’s Nancy & Frederick DeMatteis Arts Academy. The Masquerade Family Gala will be held from 12 to 4 p.m. at Long Island Aquarium’s Sea Star Ballroom in Riverhead.
“We’re so excited to be throwing this incredible party for the second year – it’s so much fun to see everyone dress up and make their red carpet arrivals…and it all supports the great work we’re able to do with kids and seniors all year long,” shared Julienne Penza-Boone, Director of Arts Education at WHBPAC.
Open to all ages, partygoers will be given superstar treatment, starting with a red carpet arrival. The fun will continue with a buffet lunch, dancing, aquarium excitement, and a marvelous Chinese Auction that will include tickets to Broadway shows, private lessons with WHBPAC’s acclaimed Teaching Artists, camp experiences, and the piece de resistance – a five day Cape Cod vacation. Since Halloween is right around the corner, attendees are welcome to don festive attire.
The Nancy & Frederick DeMatteis Arts Academy – WHBPAC’s school of the performing arts – provides high-quality performing arts opportunities to more than 13,000 students each year. School day performances, performing arts camps, and production-based classes are among programs offered through the Academy. Proceeds from this seasonal soiree will support Academy initiates, including WHBPAC’s scholarship program. WHBPAC’s mission is to “present world-class performing arts, music, dance, comedy and cinema from around the world, provide premier arts education programs to the widest and most diverse audiences, regardless of socio-economic status, and act as a catalyst to enhance the local economy, while enriching the community’s quality of life.”
Tickets to WHBPAC’s Masquerade Family Gala are $65 for children 12 and under and $85 for adults. Along with entry to the Gala, a ticket also allows access to the Aquarium.
Sea Star Ballroom is located at 431 East Main Street in Riverhead. For tickets, contact Julienne at 631-288-2350 ext. 114 or visit www.whbpac.org.
