On Saturday, January 7th, pick up your paint brush and glide it across a blank canvas when LeRose Dance Company Owner, Choreographer and Director Lina LeRose opens the Westhampton Beach-based dance studio to the public for a special Paint Night Fundraiser that supports Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF).

“Please come join us for a great cause,” shared Lina LeRose. “We are hosting a wine and paint night to help raise money for the Southampton Animal Shelter.”
From 6 to 8 p.m., attendees will create their own masterpiece, with guidance from an experienced artist, that they can take home, sip on wine and bond with other animal lovers. The evening’s paint theme will be pets with a large moon to represent light in the dark.
Earlier this year, LeRose faced a devastating incident that involved her own beloved pet, which inspired her to give back to SASF. “After my dog experienced a traumatic accident this summer and is confined to a wheelchair, I support the dedication and compassion of helping the animal shelter,” she noted.
The Hampton Bays-based animal shelter is grateful to be the Paint Night beneficiary. “Thank you to LeRose Dance Company for hosting this fundraiser for our shelter,” expressed Kate McEntee, Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation Director of Public Relations and Marketing. “It is very appreciate and helpful when our community supports us with these fun events!”
Along with taking care of the homeless animals from 22 local towns, SASF also saves dogs from “kill shelters” located nationwide and has teamed up with No More Tears Rescue, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that rescues puppy mill dogs from horrendous breeding factories, to rehabilitate and place adult dogs from puppy mills in caring forever homes. Additionally, the Shelter recently took in five dogs that were saved from the Chinese Meat Market. SASF’s mission is to “provide for the welfare of animals and reduce the number of homeless pets—and we are committed to our goal which is to promote and nurture the bond between people and animals through adoption, education and community outreach.”

“We are looking forward to the Paint Night this Saturday,” added McEntee.
Admission to the Paint Night Fundraiser is $50, which includes all supplies and a glass of wine.
