“Our 13th annual A Hamptons Happening promises to be our best and most exciting benefit yet,” said event founding chair Marion N. Waxman. “We have Michelin star chefs, fantastic honorees from diverse industries and extraordinary performances by Rufus Wainwright and Sophie Beem, a protégé of Beyonce.”
CBS 2 News anchor Chris Wragge will host the soiree, which will honor Glenn Myles, Chairman and CEO of First Wall Street Capital; Bobbie Lloyd, Chief Baking Officer of Magnolia Bakery; Shep Gordon, Talent Manager, Hollywood Film Agent, Producer and Author; Gabriel Kreuther, Owner and Executive Chef of Gabriel Kreuther Restaurant, a Michelin Star recipient and Relais & Chateux restaurant; and Margaret Hayes, President and CEO of Fashion Group International.
This is one of the most awaited and popular events in the Hamptons, usually drawing about 500 guests. There will be both live and silent auctions, along with some of New York’s finest cuisine. Performers from The National Circus Project will also be returning this year.
“It will truly be a special evening supporting the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation’s mission to discover a cure for cancer,” added Waxman.
