One of the last East End Oktoberfest celebrations will take place at Ram’s Head Inn on Saturday, October 21 from 1 to 5 p.m.
After you run, walk, or cheer on 18th Annual Shelter Island 5K participants, stop by the Shelter Island-based Inn for a seasonal gathering that will feature live music from Points East Band, a spectacular pig roast, beer, of course, a buffet from 1:30 to 3 p.m., and more.
Additionally, attendees can take a chance on an array of raffle items, with proceeds supporting AmeriCares’ Puerto Rico Relief Fund.
“We are so excited for this year’s Oktoberfest, which not only falls on an exciting day on the island, taking place directly after the Shelter Island 5k, but to also be able to support such an important cause like the hurricane relief efforts for Puerto Rico,” shared Ram’s Head Inn owner Linda Eklund.

When AmeriCares’ first response teams initially arrived in Puerto Rico, they brought $60,000 worth of antibiotics and medical supplies, some of which were delivered to a children’s hospital. Since then, AmeriCares has provided more than $36 million worth of medicines and supplies to communities impacted by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico and Dominica.
“It should be a fantastic day at the Ram’s Head with live music, seasonal cocktails, and amazing food!” Eklund added.
Tickets to Ram’s Head Inn’s Oktoberfest are $19.31 for children and $51.45 for adults.
