21st Annual September Benefit To Support Non-Profit’s Medical Outreach

Operation International, a non-profit medical mission organization based in Southampton, will host its 21st Annual September Benefit on Saturday, September 22.

Taking place at the Laurel Lake Vineyard in Laurel from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m., the evening will feature dancing under the stars with music from That Motown Band, dinner by East End Events Catering/CJ’s American Grill, live and silent auctions, and more

“We are looking forward to celebrating with old and new friends as we raise funds to support our continued volunteer work offering free medical treatment, education, and training to adults and children suffering from the lack of quality health care in impoverished countries around the world,” said Operation International’s Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors Medhat Allam.

Proceeds from this year’s September Benefit will support Operation International’s medical outreach, as well as the organization’s work at the Rakai Infant & Elementary School Orphanage in Uganda.

For the first time ever, Operation International will offer the chance to join them on a medical mission through the Benefit’s live auction. The one-of-kind experience will present a first-hand look at what it’s like to be a vital part of a life-saving mission. The auction will also feature items from restaurants, international trip packages, jewelry, and other products and services from local businesses.

Most recently, Operation International’s successes include refurbishing a hospital in Uganda, building an eye hospital in the Himalayas, establishing a new team in Los Angeles that journeyed to Ecuador and a new team in Maryland that ventured to Kenya, launching a 5-year program to feed food insecure children at orphanages in the Philippines, creating a 5-year program to train therapists on how to aid victims of gender violence in Kenya with plans to expand to South Africa, and brining mattresses, bedding, clothes, shoes, and food to four orphanages in Uganda, where they also installed solar panels, lights and computer terminals.

Admission to the 21st Annual September Benefit is $125 and $200 for VIP tickets, which include transportation on the Hampton Luxury Liner to and from the venue from the Southampton Train Station, with another stop at the Hampton Bays Train Station.

Since its inception in 1996, the 501(c) (3) nonprofit has grown to include over 200 medical professionals with several chapters throughout the United States and world, including Operation Kids, Operation Restore Vision, Operation Dental, and Operation Ear, Nose and Throat, assisting those in need with medical care at no cost.
