Camp SoulGrow Founder London Rosiere is bringing a piece of her hometown, New Orleans, to “The End” on Saturday, March 2 during the non-profit’s fifth annual “Mardi Gras in Montauk” fundraiser party.
“I am THRILLED to bring New Orleans Southern Spice to warm up Montauk at our 5th annual Mardi Gras in Montauk!” Rosiere shared. “We have a great night lined up with live music, unlimited Montauk Brew Co. beer, a crawfish boil, Cajun buffet, King Cakes, beads, trinkets and prizes… all for a $25 donation to Camp SoulGrow!”
Taking place at the Shagwong Tavern, the evening will offer an authentic taste of the Big Easy with unlimited Cajun food, as well as King Cakes provided by Manny Randazzo’s of New Orleans. There will also be several auction prizes, and plenty of traditional Mardi Gras accessories (beads, masks, trinkets, and other fun goodies).

“This is such a fun and special night and I am truly grateful and beyond excited!!!” Rosiere noted.
The festive gathering will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission is $25 for a wristband that provides access to the unlimited Cajun food, King Cakes, and the Montauk Brewing Company brews.
Camp SoulGrow is a creative workshop camp offered locally in Montauk and Hampton Bays, as well as in New Orleans, that aims to “inspire children’s growth from the inside out.” The non-profit hosts donation-operated volunteer workshops and adventures that provide a place where little ones can test out new interests and discover new skills, strengths, and passions. Camp SoulGrow utilizes members of the East End community who offer their expertise as mentors.
Rosiere founded the organization in Montauk in July of 2014, and since then it has expanded to three locations, secured a 23-passenger bus that was painted with help from campers – making it easier to take field trips, presented over 585 workshops, and served more than 900 children.
“See y’all Saturday, March 2 at Shagwong Tavern to let the good times roll… for all kids of Camp SoulGrow!” Rosiere added.
Shagwong Tavern & Restaurant is located at 774 Montauk Highway in Montauk. For more information, visit www.campsoulgrow.org.
