Once again the Have a Heart Community Trust and The Paul Koster Memorial Benefit are inviting the East End community and visitors to test their luck during the 19th Annual Casino Royale Masquerade Party. The soiree will be held at Seasons of Southampton on Saturday, April 6.
Starting at 7 p.m., there will be hors d’oeuvres, music, dancing, an open bar, and Casino Night festivities – featuring a “Texas Hold’em” Tournament.
“Get ready for a Good Time and Great Cause!!” Cutter Koster shared. “Your attendance and contribution is more appreciated than you know.”
There will also be a Chinese Auction, Silent Auction, and 50/50.
If you already know that your card skills aren’t quite up to par, make sure to don your most festive mask – as not only will there be prizes awarded to the top casino players, but there will also be a prized bestowed to the most creative mask.
Admission to the Casino Royale Masquerade Party ranges from $55 to $75, which includes $100 in casino chips.
Proceeds from the evening will support The Paul Koster Memorial Benefit, a non-profit “devoted to helping people in our community achieve success in reaching their goals of furthering their education. We do this by assisting select organizations and community service programs, as well as awarding scholarships to High School graduates,” and Have A Heart, whose mission is to “provide direct relief to East End residents in times of individual and/or family crisis.”
“My old man, Paul Koster passed away on March 15, 2000. He was helping a neighbor pull out a tree stump with his tractor and it rolled over on him cutting his life short. My dad (weird to say and type cause it’s been so long) would donate his time and resources regularly. From making huge trays of food for community functions to filleting fish in my 5th grade science class,” Koster reflected. “I think of all the great times we had and how selfless he acted on a regular basis. I love this community. Hope to see you all there for a Blast of an evening.”
