The Southampton Cultural Center (SCC) will host its Fourth Annual Gala – An Evening of Wine and Roses on Saturday, May 25. The Memorial Day weekend soiree will be held at a private estate on Captain Neck’s Lane in Southampton Village from 6 to 9 p.m.
“We are looking forward to a lovely evening with the amazing supporters of the Southampton Cultural Center who recognize the importance of a cultural center in the community. And it’s going to be a great party, not to be missed!” Kirsten Lonnie, SCC Executive Director and founding member, relayed.
The evening will boast incredible bites, live and silent auctions, and more. There will also be live entertainment from Certain Media and a special appearance by Christiaan Padavan, an amazingly talented Hamptons Bays resident that competed on American Idol‘s latest season.
This year’s Gala will celebrate honorees Dr. and Mrs. Morell Avram, long-time supporters of the arts on the East End; Lylla Carter, a long-time SCC Board Member; Thomas Knight, former SCC Chairman; and Larry Strickland, a long-time educator and community advocate.
Proceeds from An Evening of Wine and Roses will support the wide variety of programming that SCC offers, including needs-based scholarships for children, the beloved complimentary Concerts in the Park Series, highly anticipated year-round theater, the Rising Stars Piano Series, language programs, Latin dance events, educational opportunities, including art classes, language, dance, acting, and music lessons, and more.
“An average of 35,000 people attend the SCC’s programs and we are proud to be able to raise funds towards supporting our community’s culture for children and adults alike,” Lonnie added.
Tickets to An Evening of Wine and Roses start at $125.
