On Saturday, June 22, all sorts of shades of red will descend upon the Southampton Arts Center in Southampton to champion the American Heart Association’s 23rd annual Hamptons Heart Ball.
This year’s soiree will commemorate John M. Crean, MD, Nuclear Cardiology, East End Cardiology/NYU/Winthrop and Mark Saporita, MD, FACC, Cardiology and Internal Medicine, East End Cardiology/NYU/Winthrop, who will be fêted with the Distinguished Service Award. Toby and Larry Milstein will also be honored, receiving the Humanitarians With Heart Award.
“In its 23rd year, this year’s Hamptons Heart Ball will be the best one yet,” said Barbara Poliwoda, American Heart Association’s Hamptons Heart Ball Director. “The continued support from the East End community as well as our sponsors, helps this event be a success year after year.”
From 6 to 11 p.m., all are invited to join the American Heart Association and friends and take in the beautiful SAC backdrop while noshing on tasty bites, that are heart healthy – of course, sipping on local wines, dancing to live music by In The Groove, chatting with old and new friends during the cocktail hour, which will be followed by a seated dinner catered by Elegant Affairs. There will also be an amazing live and silent auction featuring some spectacular prizes.
Meredith Cohen and Jason S. Chinitz, MD, FACC, FHRS, Director, Cardiac Electrophysiology, Southside Hospital, Bay Shore, NY, Associate Professor of Cardiology, Sucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, will chair the 2019 Hamptons Heart Ball, while Good Day New York Entertainment Reporter Baruch Shemtov will emcee the event.
Proceeds from the evening will support the American Heart Association’s mission of “being a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives.” Founded in 1924 by six cardiologists, the American Heart Association is the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization committed to fighting heart disease (the number one killer worldwide) and stroke (the second killer globally).
Tickets to the 23rd annual Hamptons Heart Ball are $600.
