East End Hospice will host its annual Summer Gala fundraiser on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at a waterfront estate in Quogue. This year’s theme, An Evening in Positano, will feature the very best bites and décor of Italy.
The Summer Gala supports the mission of East End Hospice – to provide care and comfort for terminally ill patients, their families and loved ones living on the North and South Forks of Long Island – and Camp Good Grief, a bereavement day camp for children who have experienced the loss of a parent or loved one. The evening will feature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the lawn overlooking Shinnecock Bay and dinner, dancing, casino games and a silent auction under the main tent. Catering will be provided by Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs.
A planning committee of 30 dedicated individuals has met on a monthly basis to plan what is bound to be another spectacular gala. Positano is known for its prosperous lemon production, as well as hand-painted pottery. These two concepts drastically influenced the design and decor of the event. The décor chairs of the Summer Gala are Eileen Boccio and Betty Ann Catanzaro.
As for entertainment, A&K Orchestra will perform standards and Italian songs as well. Lucas Hunt will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
“We expect over 600 guests as we have a very loyal following and our gift bags are much sought after,” said co-chairs, Betsy Bean and Tom Diffley.
Sally Richardson, a longtime supporter of East End Hospice has been named as Honorary Chair, and Christina and David Kepner will receive the Dorothy Pell Savage Good Samaritan Award for their lifelong support of East End Hospice and their programs.
Tickets are priced at $300 each and Juniors at $150.
The Summer Gala will take place at 40 Second Neck Lane in Quogue. For further information please contact Theresa Murphy at 631-288-7080 or visit www.eeh.org.
