On Saturday, August 24, finn2finn Alliance will host Full Circle Benefit at Ashgrove Farm in Water Mill.
Founded by Amanda Hearst and Breanna Schultz, we caught up with the duo to learn more about the non-profit:
Tell us a little bit about your connection to the Hamptons and why you decided to host the Full Circle Benefit here?
AH: I grew up in Manhattan so for me going to the Hamptons was an opportunity to be in nature and spend time with animals. When Breanna and I started our animal welfare non-profit, there was no question where we would host our annual fundraiser.
BS: The Hamptons are very special to me and my family. Not only did my in-laws meet and get married here, but my husband and I did as well! When we are here we focus on family time and really reconnect. It’s very special.
What will proceeds from the evening support?
AH: All the money we raise at the event will go to our 2019 charity partners who all work within the realm of animal-assisted therapy and education. For example, one of the four partners is Tony La Russa’s ‘Pets and Vets Program’. They rescue dogs and then train them to be therapy dogs for war veterans.
BS: We have curated a great group of four partners that are doing incredible work with the human animal bond, all with the holistic lens of helping humans and animals together! Whether it’s Veterans getting help from rescue animals through therapy or a domestic violence shelter taking in families along with their pets. We really try to look at the issue with a full circle approach!
What inspired the founding of finn2finn Alliance?
AH: Our love for animals is what inspired Breanna and I to start finn2finn. What has made the charity grow so fast is how many other people love animals as well.
BS: Our love for animals is what inspired us initially. We felt we had to speak for the voiceless.
Besides the Hamptons fundraiser, is finn2finn Alliance presenting any other upcoming events?
AH: Yes! We are hosting a cruelty-free cocktail in November in NYC celebrating food, fashion and beauty that doesn’t harm animals.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
BS: We are launching our new branding at this Benefit which was inspired by this campaign that we are all connected in this one world we share. We hope you can make it for it’s unveiling.
Full Circle Benefit will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets start at $275 and $175 for a Junior Ticket (29 years and younger).
