Socially Distant Barktoberfest Benefit To Take Place At North Fork Brewing Co.

Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF) and North Fork Brewing Co. are joining forces to host Barktoberfest on Saturday, October 10.

“The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation and North Fork Brewing Co. invite you to join us for a social-distance friendly fundraiser to benefit our shelter pets!” Katie McEntee, SASF Director of Adoptions and Public Relations, encouraged. “Join us at the North Fork Brewing Company in Riverhead!”

Barktoberfest will provide an hour of fall fun, with reservations available at 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. Tables (for two or six people) must be booked in advance.

“Enjoy beer specials, a photo booth, limited edition merch, raffles, a 50/50 and, of course, adoptable puppies and dogs!” McEntee noted. The gathering will also include music, a special surprise by Tim and The Where I Been (SASF trainer Tim Almeida) and the chance to taste North Fork’s key lime-infused pilsner, Hold Me Closer Tommy Lager.

“Make sure to book your tables in advance and don’t miss out on the puppy snuggles, cool t-shirts and brews!” McEntee said.

Tickets range from $10 to $30 per group.

This month will also bring SASF’s Wag-O-Ween Spooktacular with Des Bishop and Summer House star Hannah Berner, as well as Buddy Mercury, on Sunday, October 18, a virtual Strut Your Mutt pet walk on Saturday, October 24 and the Pitbulls & Pumpkins fundraiser on Sunday, October 25.
