Guild Hall’s Visionaries will return on Friday, May 21 with special guest Vanessa Price, a sommelier, author, and New York Magazine writer. The intimate event will be held at Almond Restaurant in Bridgehampton from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mary Ferrara of The American Hotel will moderate.
“Visionaries is an essential program at Guild Hall because it champions creativity, originality and resourcefulness and introduces new ways of thinking about business and the arts. Participants engage with next generation leaders and learn how they are igniting change in their respective fields,” noted Andrea Grover, Guild Hall Executive Director.
Price will chat about her adoration of vino – and attendees will experience firsthand Price’s impressive expertise during a special food and wine pairing experience featured in her best-seller, Big Macs & Burgundy: Wine Pairings for the Real World, complimented by locally sourced bites from Almond’s Executive Chef Jason Weiner.
The Kentucky native began her career at a small winery down south. In 2007, she moved to New York City for a sommelier job on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. She eventually transitioned into wine education, doing PR and events for wine-focused client services, consulting for private wine collectors and wine lists in NYC restaurants, and distribution and importing. She is a certified Level 4 Diploma of Wine and Spirits carrier and instructor for The Wine & Spirit Education Trust® – and inspires and educates the next generation of wine lovers through a tremendously popular wine class at Columbia University.
Price founded The Vinum Collective, an all-things-wine lifestyle platform, with Michelle McSwain. She is currently in the midst of a duo of exciting East End projects – partnering with ABC News‘ Dan Abrams on a winery project on the North Fork and developing Maverick’s Montauk, a new eatery set to open in the spring of 2022.

Tickets are $300 for a table for two – $250 for Visionaries-level members – which includes the wine and food pairings. A ticket to livestream the event is $40. Virtual attendees will receive a list of wines, which are available at event sponsor Amagansett Wine & Spirits, and pairings to purchase ahead of time.
