Picture this: you and your Valentine’s Day date arrive at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center (WHBPAC) and a special VIP parking space has been specially reserved your for. You look up and WHBPAC’s marquee is illuminated with either your names or a declaration of love. Then, the two of you make your way to the WHBPAC stage – where a romantic, candlelit dinner for two – complete with a bottle of champagne, is waiting. After the delicious meal, the dreamy evening continues with a private screening of a film of your choice – with movie snacks, of course.
That can be your 2021 Valentine’s Day, if you’re the lucky winner of the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center’s Valentine’s Day Raffle.
“This raffle is a totally unique way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. People may not be able to celebrate in traditional ways, so we decided to think outside the box and offer a one-of-a-kind experience where the focus is completely on you,” Heather Draskin, WHBPAC Communications Manager, shared. “This will help raise funds for the theatre while giving the winners a night they will never forget.”
Digital raffle tickets will be available until Friday, February 5 at 8:00 a.m. The winner will be announced later in the day.
Single? Don’t worry because WHBPAC still has some Valentine’s Day ideas: “Grab your best gal for a girls-only inspired Galentine’s Day (need some inspo? How about Clueless, 10 Things I Hate About You, or Sixteen Candles?), bro out with your top dude watching some testosterone-fueled flicks (We’ll leave out the chocolate covered strawberries on this one. San Andreas, Lethal Weapon, or Unforgiven are our favorites.), relive the magic of youth with these romantic love stories for the ages (Try The Graduate, Pride and Prejudice, or Cleopatra), or bring your child for a totally special one-on-one experience (We love Lego Movies 1 or 2, Harry Potter, or Mary Poppins?).”
“We also encourage non-couples to enter the raffle – celebrate with a family member, child, or even your best friend,” Draskin added.
Tickets are $50 for one entry or $75 for two entries. To take a chance, visit whbpac.org/event/valentines-day-raffle.
For those who don’t win the dream date, they can still impress their amore by lighting up the marquee. For one side, there is a $500 donation fee and $1,000 for both sides. To learn more, visit www.whbpac.org.
Additionally, Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center is partnering with New York Blood Center on Thursday, February 18 to host a blood drive from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Making an appointment in advance is required. To learn more, visit nybc.org.
