Life@Nite: Drift Inn Making Its Hampton Bays Debut

When the former location of The Drift Inn was bought by the Town, many feared the popular Dune Road venue wouldn’t be open for the 2014 season. This weekend, they are kicking off summer on Saturday, May 24, thanks to their partnership with Beach Bar in Hampton Bays.

Beach Bar (58 Foster Avenue, Hampton Bays, 631-723-3100, beachbarhamptons.com) reopens for the summer season on Friday, May 23, with a battle between The Hamptons vs. Jersey Shore. DJ Doug O’Mara from the Boardy Barn will be representing the East End while special guest DJ Unique will be Jersey Strong. Drift Inn (58 Foster Avenue, Hampton Bays, www.thedriftinn.com) will make their Hampton Bays debut on Saturday, May 24, and Sunday, May 25.

Also in Hampton Bays, Boardy Barn (270 West Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, 631-728-9733, www.boardybarn.com) will host their second weekend of the season on Sunday, May 25, starting at 12 p.m. To celebrate Memorial Day, on Monday, May 26, they open at 3 p.m. and will have $1 cups from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
