Alfredo & Europa brings a combination of sophisticated world jazz European flavor mixed with a Latin hot, fun danceable beat. Comprised of Alfredo Merat on electro acoustic guitars and vocals; Carl O’Brig on saxes; John Brzoza on lead guitar; and Alex Sarkis on drums and percussions, the band has performed all over the East End including at The Canal Cafe, The Stephen Talkhouse, The Living Room, Wolffer Estates, and B.Smith’s. Alfredo & Europa is inspired by the sounds of Santana, Jacques Brel, Manu Chao, LL Cool J, Compa Seguondo and many other artists.
High energy, six-piece poly-rhythmic Latino rock band, Mr. No-Shame has also toured the East End playing the Spanish Festival of Southampton, The Endless Summer Jam in Wainscott, and they were champions of The Battle of the Bands at The Stephen Talkhouse. Their diverse original music is produced and directed by Chilean father-daughter duo Willy and Carolina Fuentes. The band also features Venezuelan father-son percussionist duo Aquiles Brito Junior, Adrian Mora on drums, and Fabián Rodriguez on lead guitar. For this performance, their eclectic sounds will be accompanied by Ricardo Coto on guitar and a brass section from New York City featuring Trombonist Kevin Virgilio of the Hungry March Band and Saxophonist Rodrigo Bermudez of Los Chamanes.
For over ten years Mambo Loco has treated Long Island to the classic music of Afro-Cuban and Puerto Rican origin. Their “old school” Latin and Latin jazz sessions feature Larry Belford, lead vocal and percussionist; Cristian Rivera, percussionist and vocalist; Bill Smith, piano and vocals; Wayne Burgess, bass and vocals; and Alfredo Gonzalez, trombone, violin, percussion and vocals.
