Life@Nite: 2019 Hamptons Ugly Sweater Parties

Several Hamptons spots are celebrating National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day (Friday, December 20) a little early. If you’ve come up with an absolute masterpiece, make sure to don it at one of these gatherings – because top honor and prizes are at stake.

While not exactly an ugly sweater party, Indian Wells Tavern (177 Main Street, Amagansett, www.indianwellstavern.com) will host a “Naughty or Nice” Costume Party on Friday, December 13. Starting at 10 p.m., there will be music from DJ James Ryan, drink specials, and the award for best costume up for grabs.

Long Ireland Beer Company’s (817 Pulaski Street, Riverhead, longirelandbeer.com) Ugly Christmas Sweater Party will take place on Saturday, December 14 from 6 to 10 p.m. As there will be a prize bestowed to the owner of the most heinous creation, “the tackier the sweater, the better.” In addition to the extreme eyesores, there will be drink specials and a food truck onsite.

As per usual, Hello Brooklyn, a hip-hop and pop band from New York City, is headlining Stephen Talkhouse’s (161 Main Street, Amagansett, stephentalkhouse.com) annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party on Saturday, December 14. The fun, which includes a prize for ugliest sweater and live music, commences at 10 p.m. Prior to the festivities, the Talkhouse will have the Sarah Conway Revel in your Spirits Xmas Show at 8 p.m.

North Fork Brewing Co (24 East 2nd Street, Riverhead, www.northforkbrewingco.com) is hosting a Holiday Trivia + Ugly Sweater Night on Wednesday, December 18 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Attendees will be quizzed about beloved seasonal movies, traditions, and more. There’s a $5 fee to play and the winning team will be awarded a $25 gift card to North Fork Brewing Co.
