The Garden Club of East Hampton is proud to present their annual garden party and plant sale.
Well known as being one of the unofficial kick-off events of the summer season in the Hamptons, the garden party will feature a preview party of the annual Plant Sale, which is to take place the following morning. This years Plant Sale will feature an assortment of annuals, perennials, geraniums, exotic orchids from Hawaii, and unusual herbs.
The Garden Club, whose aim is to “to restore, improve and protect the quality of the environment through educational programs and action in the fields of conservation and civic improvement” was founded in 1914.
Friday, May 24th’s garden party will be from 6 p.m to 8 p.m at historic Mulford Farm in East Hampton where cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Admission is a donation of $50 per person to the GCEH.
Festivities will continue at Saturday’s Plant Sale will be from 9 a.m. till 12 p.m. Admission is free, but all donations will go to GCEH.
The funds raised at the Plant sale will go towards the maintenance of GCEH’s created and supported gardens such as the Mimi Meehan Native Plant Garden, Rachel’s (historic) Garden at Mulford Farm, The Grace Lee Roberts Terrace Garden at the East Hampton Library, and Millstone Park Garden.
Please come out and support the GCEH in their work towards beautifying and improving the local environment.
