The Late Mary Steinbrecher Honored At The Annual End of Summer Tent Party

The Annual End of Summer Tent Party on the Parish’s Great Lawn on Hill Street took place once again thanks to support of Father Mike Vetrano, Pastor of the Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary. The cocktail party which was appropriately titled “A Celebration of Life” paid tribute to the late Mary Steinbrecher. The longtime parishioner was one of the co-chairs at the last party some years ago and was also involved in the revival under the new pastor even while dealing with a terminal illness.

Pat Corrigan and Joan Heinz, two of Steinbrecher’s dear friends, served as co-chairs of the Hamptons bash on Saturday, August 31, 2013. Attendees enjoyed cocktails and delicious hors d’oeuvres by Tim Burke’s 230 Elm and live music from Doug Dwyer. The Parish Committee led by Charles Mottern also conducted a major raffle where over 500 tickets sold.
