The annual Hamptons Tea Dance was held at Nova’s Ark Project in Water Mill on Saturday, July 16th. The fun music, guests dancing, delicious food and drink, fabulous charities, and friendly faces could not have made a more perfect night.

This year’s event benefited three new organizations: The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Community Center (The Center), Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE), and Callen-Lorde Community Health Center (Callen-Lorde).
“We are a community health center dedicated to serving primarily LGBT populations and people living with HIV through primary care, mental health care, dental care, case management and a variety of other services. We strive to achieve health equity for our community,” Wendy Stark, Executive Director of Callen-Lorde, shared. “This event has a long history and is a real corner stone of the Hamptons summer. We’re so excited to be collaborating with The Center and SAGE to make sure this event stays alive and part of the event calendar.”
The event has occurred since 1992, but this year was bitter-sweet since Empire State Pride Agenda, the fundraiser’s previous beneficiary, has disbanded.
The ever-convivial DJ Lady Bunny lit up the evening and made it hard for guests to leave the dance floor.
Honorary Chair and LGBTQ pioneer Edie Windsor was ecstatic to be a part of this fun, annual, summer event.
“I think this particular day has turned into a reunion,” said Windsor. “All three of the organizations being represented here tonight are very close to my heart. This is probably the biggest event like this out in the Hamptons.”
