The world’s greatest real estate exists in the Hamptons and the world’s greatest real estate game is the game of Monopoly. So it is fitting that the makers of Monopoly are releasing a custom Hamptons Monopoly Board this summer with properties on the board matching up with properties in the Hamptons.
The marketing manager for Top Trumps, which is the maker of monopoly is requesting to the Hamptons community ideas for pieces, themed chance cards, and property locations for the Monopoly board Here is our submission.
- All of the railroads should be replaced with Hampton Jitney stops.
- One of the game pieces should be the Montauk Lighthouse and another game piece should be a French Bulldog.
- One of the chance cards sends you directly to jail for DWI.
- One of the chance cards gets you out of jail by hiring attorney Eddie Burke.
- All of the house pieces should include a pool
- All of the hotel pieces should be replaced with larger houses that have pools, tennis courts and hedges.
- One of the game pieces should be a Range Rover.
- One of the community chest cards should say, “Your Wall Street Bonus came through, collect $100”
- One of the community chest cards should say, “You found some bitcoin on your computer. Collect $1500.
- One of the chance cards should read, “Your divorce has been finalized, give up half of all property and money.”
- One of the property sets should be Nick and Toni’s, Bobby Vans, Pierre’s and 75 Main.
- Every time you buy a property, you must pay $10 into the center of the board for the CPF Tax and you can win that money back if you land on the free parking square which is now replaced with, “Free Farming”
- One of the community chest cards should read, “Pay landscaper, plumber, electrician and roofer bill, $1 Million.”
- One of the game pieces should be Polo horse
- The two blue property sets should be Meadow Lane and Further Lane.
- One of the game pieces should be a pick up truck.
- One of the game pieces should be a Louis Vutton handbag.
- Every time you pass go, you collect $200 but you also have to say outloud, “Does anybody know any off-market listings or deals?”
