On Tuesday evenings, head to Morty’s Oyster Stand in Amagansett to test your knowledge during Question Party?! – a one of a kind “comedy-meets-trivia experience.”
“When you think of trivia, you normally think of a painfully boring night run by a know-it-all with a regrettable calf tattoo… At Question Party?! we have bad tattoos, but NOT ON OUR CALVES,” Dan Davies, who co-hosts Question Party?! with Mike Stauffer, shared. “We decided to lop off the boring parts of trivia and make the questions even more trivial, dancier music, oh, and we added limbo, just because.…”
After Davies, a stand-up comedian, and Stauffer, host of the debaucherous Not Your Standard Bingo, realized there wasn’t an extravaganza that consisted of “25% quiz, 50% comedy, 15% limbo, 30% Mariah Carey sing-a-longs where math didn’t count,” the hilarious duo set out to right that wrong by creating their own hybrid for “people who don’t take their trivia (or their lives) so friggin’ seriously.”
The action gets underway at 8:00 p.m. The unforgettable night includes sensational guess-that-lyric readings, brief performances of scenes from beloved movies, awesome throwback tunes – with plenty of trivia – of course.
“As soon as you step into Morty’s, you’ll realize we’re trivia for people that don’t take themselves too seriously,” Davies shared. “To be able to bring Question Party?! to venues like Morty’s is super rewarding for us, especially after we’ve all spent so much time apart.”
Davies, continued, “We’re really excited to build on the momentum we started last summer in the Hamptons, at a unique venue like Morty’s where the staff and the crowd are provide such an inspiring energy.”
