When Angela Boyer-Stump, Licensed Sales Associate and Senior Global Real Estate Advisor at Sotheby’s International Realty, was ready for the next phase professionally, it was a friend who introduced her to the real estate industry.
“I was in the throw of closing my Park Avenue Health and Wellness Office and in a very transitional stage of my life,” Boyer-Stump reflected. “A close girlfriend that was selling real estate here in the Hamptons suggested I give it a try. It was a great fit from the start!”
Boyer-Stump, who has been assisting buyers find a home in the Hamptons for over 18 years, is consistently ranked among the top 1 percent of NRT sales associates across the nation.
“I wear a lot of different hats in real estate,” she noted. “I work with a lot of investors but also have a strong affection for waterfront homes, new construction and timeless village properties. I am always available to talk real estate!”
The mother of three is an avid water enthusiast. “As a family, we enjoy bonfires on the beach, boat rides to waterside dining (Sunset Beach and Cowfish are some favorites) and the end of season Roberta Roller Rabbit sales!” Boyer-Stump, who serves on the Board of the Southampton Yacht Club and is on the Southampton Jr. Sailing Committee, shared.
If “location” is the first rule in real estate, what is the second? Why?
ABS: The right fit, an energy, knowing that the home you are buying makes you happy. Most buyers are 2nd home/luxury buyers. If the house doesn’t have a great feeling, it’s probably not your vacation home.
The Hamptons market has the high-end luxury section with homes well over $7 million and the flip side with homes under $500,000, plus all of the great homes in between. Where are the buyers right now?
ABS: The 1-2 million dollar range is very active. We are seeing trade happen in all price points but under 2 million is quite popular at the moment.
What is your forecast for the summer/fall real estate season in the Hamptons?
ABS: As summer winds down, I see my calendar filling up with buyers that seemingly want to buy for next season. Let’s hope I can find them their dream homes!
What are the emerging trends in architecture?
ABS: Modern and barn style are still trending and new is always popular.
How have buyers/sellers changed over the past two years?
ABS: There seems to be more of a need for turnkey homes. I think people want to come and enjoy their purchase right away.
When it comes to unique features and amenities, home in the Hamptons have it all. What are some of your favorites/amenities that really stand out?
ABS: Outdoor grilling stations/kitchens, infinity edge pools with waterfalls, and poured concrete countertops and floors – very “Hamptons.”
Which towns/villages are the most sought-after right now?
ABS: East Hampton has been trending because the prices came down.
What is so special about the Hamptons real estate market?
ABS: The ability to rent your home for a few weeks, the summer or the year. There can be an immediate return on investment, if you so desire.

ABS: Selling oceanfront homes is always a magical experience. Finding the fit for someone that has the ability to purchase anywhere in the world but has chosen to buy here shows their love, passion and commitment to being a part of our Hamptons community.

ABS: I have a modern home in Amagansett that was designed by award winning architect, Andrew Pollock. It has a very young, current feel that emits a downtown Tribeca flare. It’s a statement home that is flooded with beautiful natural light.
