The Sag Harbor Historical Society is presenting the opportunity to explore six spectacular Sag Harbor outdoor oases during the Society’s Garden Tour on Saturday, June 19.
“There are four gardens in the Village and two in North Haven, and a tour of The Church art center,” Tucker Burns Roth, Sag Harbor Historical Society Trustee, noted.
From 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., tour-goers may visit the six properties and April Gornik and Eric Fischl’s The Church at their own convenience. “The tour begins at the Historical Society, where guests will pick up a map, purchase day-of tickets and check out garden-related raffle prizes,” Burns Roth noted. After picking up the Garden Tour map, attendees may set out on the self-guided exploration, which will feature a wide array of beautiful blooms and magnificent landscapes.
Tickets are $60 in advance and $65 the day of the tour, which includes entry to the raffle. Items being raffled off include a gardener’s tools package, valued at $225, provide by Sage & Madison; a gorgeous white orchid plant, valued at $175, donated by Annie of the Sag Harbor Florist; Frederico Alzavedo’s book, Bloom: The Luminous Gardens of Frederico Alzevedo, founder of Unlimited Earth Care, valued at $75; and a stunning hanging basket featuring a yellow flowering scaevola plant, provided by the Sag Harbor Garden Center, valued at $35.
“Docents will maintain social distancing at each location and masks are optional,” Burns Roth added.
