Just days after billionaire hedge fund manager Steven A. Cohen of SAC Capital Advisors bought Picasso’s La Reve for $155 million, he purchased a $60 million Hamptons mansion, next to the one he already owns.
The $60 million oceanfront property is located on Further Lane in East Hampton. This 10,000 square-foot mansion sits on seven acres with 7 bedrooms, including an ocean view master suite. With high ceilings, limestone floors, a media room and tennis court and pool. This purchase is among the most expensive real estate sales transacted in the Hamptons. The property was previously owned by Robert B. McKeon, a founding partner of the investment bank Wasserstein Perella.
The first house Cohen bought in 2007 for $18 million and is also on Further Lane, but located behind an oceanfront property owned by James Chanos, another hedge fund manager.
