“It’s undoubtedly the most magnificent waterfront anywhere,” Enzo Morabito of Douglas Elliman, who represented the property, relayed. “It has almost a football fields worth of beach. The elevation is almost 20′ where it is and it overlooks the whole harbor.”

It was listed back in 2016 for $25 million and the last listing had the property priced at $17,999,000. Located on 4.5 acres, the 5 bedroom estate features 5,500 square feet of living space, including a kitchen with soapstone and marble counters, formal dining, a spacious living room, great room, and 5.5 baths. Its covet worthy master suite has its own sitting room and terrace that takes advantage of the house’s panoramic harbor views. The Timeless Beauty author’s former historic abode showcases many period details, such as the grand columns covering two facades, wide-plank pine floors, and several cozy fireplaces.
“The people who are buying it are renovating it and bringing it all back, which is what we wanted. We didn’t want to sell it to a developer,” Morabito explained. ” I’ve seen pictures of it, it’s going to be magnificent, one of the most beautiful things you’ve ever seen.”

While Brinkley was interested in staying there, inevitably the timing just wasn’t right. “Christie wanted to build her own house there, but because of her kids and their profession and her profession – she had been touring the country with the show Chicago and she’s kind of centered around New York now because of her children,” he noted. “You couldn’t find better people to take over that house – that she was extremely happy about.”

The outside of the supermodel’s former residence is just as impressive, with 327 feet of sandy shore that overlooks the harbor, yachts, sailboats, and open bay. The stunning water views and unbelievable sunsets can be seen from nearly every room in Brinkley’s manor. Additionally, the grounds include beautiful gardens as well as specimen trees, and also a bay-side Gunite pool.

“We’re really looking forward to seeing what the finished project is. We wouldn’t have sold it to a developer, we made that decision,” he said.

When asked what it was like working with Brinkley, Morabito gushed, “I love her. She’s demanding, she’s strong, she’s smart, she has an opinion, and she listens. It’s been absolutely wonderful working with her.”
