Annual Hamptons Holiday Tour To Include Nearly 20 Stops

While dubbed the East Hampton Annual B & B, Inn, Restaurant and Attraction Holiday Tour, this year’s seasonal spectacular will spread holiday cheer from Amagansett all the way to Southampton.

Taking place on Saturday, December 14, the yearly extravaganza presented by the East Hampton Chamber of Commerce will commence at 12 p.m. with a self-guided exploration of several unique locations, where the trees will be extravagantly embellished, the holiday decor will be abundant, and the joy of the season will be overwhelming. The Tour will last until 4 p.m. and then, from 4 to 6 p.m., select eateries will offer “Holiday Bite & Pour Specials” for $10.

“The annual holiday tour is a fabulous way to take in our wonderful inns and B &B’s – many of which are historic. A trip to the Pollock-Krasner House in Springs is a must!” Steve Haweeli of East Hampton Chamber said.

Tour-goers may pick up their wristbands at Baker House 1650 (181 Main Street, East Hampton), White Fences Inn (371 Montauk Highway, Water Mill), or 434 On Main (434 Main Street, Amagansett). Then, attendees may visit participating sites, which include 434 on Main (434 Main Street, Amagansett), The Pollock-Krasner House (830 Springs Fireplace Road, Springs), East Hampton Art House Bed & Breakfast (9 Bon Pinck Way, Springs) The Baker House 1650 (181 Main Street, East Hampton), The Maidstone Inn (207 Main Street, East Hampton), The 1770 House Restaurant & Inn (143 Main Street, East Hampton), The Huntting Inn (94 Main Street, East Hampton), Topping Rose House (1 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike, Birdgehampton), White Fences Inn (371 Montauk Hwy, Water Mill), Southampton Inn (91 Hill Street, Southampton), and Southampton History Museum (17 Meeting House Lane, Southampton).

“The Rogers Mansion looks its best this time of year,” Tom Edmonds, Southampton History Museum Executive Director, relayed. “The 20-room house was developed during Southampton’s Gilded Age by summer resident Samuel Parrish who created the Parrish Art Museum.” In celebration of the event, the Southampton History Museum will be offering Candlelight Tours of the Rogers Mansion from 1 to 4 p.m. “Lavish holiday decorations adorn the period rooms along with ball gowns from that era,” Edmonds added. “This is a must see!” An additional Candlelight Tour of the Rogers Mansion will be held on Saturday, December 28 from 4 to 6 p.m.

“The tour is an East Hampton holiday tradition. Guests wind their way on this self-guided tour to see the historic inns decked out in their holiday splendor,” Carol Covell, The 1770 House Restaurant & Inn General Manager, shared. “We love the interest in local history and the holiday spirit. We have a beautifully decorated tree and fireplace in our reception area which is lined in cherry wood panels dating to the 18th century. Our restaurant and inn guests love to take holiday photos here. The tour allows us to welcome all visitors from the local area and beyond to do the same, enjoy house-made cookies and look around.”

After exploring the festive Hamptons locales, Holiday Bite and Pour Specials can be found at East Hampton’s Rowdy Hall (20 percent off lunch 12 to 3 p.m.), Nick & Toni’s (Social Hour Specials from 5 to 6:30 p.m.), Babette’s, The Maidstone Inn, and Cove Hollow Tavern, Sagaponack’s Townline BBQ (20 percent off meal in dining room from 11:30 to 5 p.m.), Southampton’s Tutto il Giorno, and Water Mill’s Calissa, Milk Pail Fresh Market, and Bistro Ete.

“Nick & Toni’s, Townline BBQ, and Rowdy Hall are excited to be part of this year’s Holiday Tour. Not only will guests be able to tour the fantastic Inns and B & B’s, but also hopefully partake in some holiday cheer and eats at our restaurants,” Mark Smith of Honest Man Restaurant Group added.

Admission to the East Hampton Annual B & B, Inn, Restaurant and Attraction Holiday Tour is $15 online and $25 at the door.

  • Review: “Ragtime,” Might be the Best Musical Ever at Bay Street Theater!

Bay Street Theater’s powerful production of the musical “Ragtime” mesmerized the audience and at the end had them on their feet applauding wildly. “Ragtime” is a must see. There are so many individual roof raising performances, yet the show is so much more than the sum of these amazing exhibitions of top level singing, dancing and physical acting. The drama is spellbinding. “Ragtime,” is running at the Bay Street Theater until August 28th, Visit www.baystreet.org for all information about show times and ticket purchases. @baystreettheater
