I’m writing this on a computer I got from GeekHampton, and geewhiz, it rocks. If you live in the Hamptons, you know how important it is to have real, trusted local businesses. That brand activation won’t help if my computer won’t charge; an interior decorator can’t help unbrick your vintage Mac. So, having GeekHampton in the community since 1999 is an understated but undeniably essential luxury.
If you haven’t been yet, come to the Grand Opening on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM at 30 East Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.
Longtime owner and Head Geek, Sheryl Heller says, “Sag Harbor was an incredible home for us. We are deeply grateful for the support, loyalty, and relationships we’ve built over the years. This move is a strategic step forward as we continue to grow and evolve as a business. Our new location offers increased foot traffic due to surrounding businesses and significantly improved parking availability—two important factors that will enhance convenience and overall experience for everyone who visits us.”
When GeekHampton moved from Sag Harbor to Hampton Bays, I was relieved: thank god the Geeks are still in the Hamptons. This is not an ad, but I want everyone to know how lucky we are to have an Apple Premier Partner and Apple Authorized Service Provider here in the Hamptons.
GeekHampton has the heart of a local business, but they have serious know-how. What is most appreciated is the patience and time their team will take to walk or scroll you through your device, new or old.
Listen, it’s time to stop asking the grandkids to collate the network server for your Hamptons home or trusting your spouse to know if that email was a phishing attempt. Work with GeekHampton to get you and your devices online and secure.
Apple Premier Partner and Apple Authorized Service Provider
Geek Hampton is officially licensed to service and sell Apple products. That means – they know the answers, they know the products – BUT, they are not self-proclaimed “Geniuses.” For technology experts, the GeekHampton team understands that service and solutions are more important than extra RAM.
Reasons to Go to Geek Hampton
GeekHampton does NOT work on commission. “We won’t upsell you. We might just downsell you,” says Senior Geek Lincoln, turning his head away from an impressive array of computer screens. If you have ever been to your cell service provider and left with a lot of stuff you don’t need, wondering what happened…GeekHampton is the OPPOSITE.
Sheryl insists, “There are no stupid questions. Technology has and continues to change rapidly; our job is to help make those changes make sense for you and your life. Sometimes people are shy or worried that their question isn’t worth asking – nothing is too small for us.”
Establishing those relationships is built on trust, long-term service, and solutions.
TL;DR: Why I love GeekHampton:
I never have to go to an Apple Store, wait weeks for a new computer, try to make a big financial decision based on a website, get upsold into something I don’t need
Geek > Genius
Even if there were an Apple Store in the Hamptons, I would go to GeekHampton every single time. Not a question. I’m not here to say anything negative about Apple Stores, but I will say: GeekHampton is hands down the best Mac and Apple service, full stop. I’ve never met a genius who called themselves a genius, but I have met a genius named Sheryl, and she calls herself a geek.
Bring Your Old Mac
If you have a computer that “works” and you want it to actually work again, bring it by GeekHampton. I love my old Mac Desktop (2011), love it so much that I accidentally deleted the OS. But, for less than 1% of the cost of a new desktop, GeekHampton got me back online.
Home Visits & Remote Consultation
Did you know that GeekHampton does home visits? (Yes, office visits too). If you can’t get to their new location, just call. GeekHampton can help you with a remote session or come to your location for service or to help install your brand-new Mac. Convenience is at their core, and if they can solve your problem on the phone or from your home, these geeks will get it done.
NEW LOCATION
Inside, the new space is bigger and brighter – walls of accessories and macbooks and technology. Sag Harbor, of course, misses the business, but GeekHampton is still just up the road in Hampton Bays.
The Mac Museum
GeekHampton’s Mac Museum will be open for the Grand Opening Celebration! The Mac has always been iconic, and the iterations have been highly varied and unique. Long before the “curved edges” that have occupied so much of the aesthetic design of current Apple products, the older Macs just hit different (looking at you, original iMac). Yes, I miss my Apple II, but it was vintage then, just so I don’t age myself.
Remember, do NOT bring your PC or PC questions. This is Mac country.
