
Earlier this month, the Southampton Arts Center celebrated the opening of its Second Skin exhibition, curated by the Latin American art scholar Estrellita B. Brodsky. The exhibition highlights the significance of clothing as a powerful medium for crafting identity, expressing gender and cultural difference, and advancing political activism. It features approximately 30 works by international artists and designers and will be on view until December 28.
The exhibition features photography sculpture, textiles, wearable objects and archival material, including various prints from Martine Gutierrez’ acclaimed Indigenous Woman and a selection of Andy Warhol works on paper from the Jordan D. Schnitzer Foundation.
