Never underestimate lifeguards who prove that they can not only save lives but know how to throw an outrageous party. Chef team, Chris Forte and Mike Opulente, of Hamptons Palate, masterfully crafted a four-course meal, showcasing an exquisite presentation that was a feast for both the eyes and the tastebuds. Locally sourced seafood was generously donated and prepped by the Viking Fleet and Haskell’s Seafood, among others.
Extraordinary, center-stage musician, Fred Goldring, opened, stepping back and allowing his mellow tunes to fill the room as the backdrop to enhance the overall, electric atmosphere of this sold-out event.
Wine donated from Wolffer, Herbert & Rist, and McCalls and beer donated from Montauk Brewery flowed freely. Attendees had the opportunity to stroll around and admire the stunning collection of artwork inspired by water –all created by hand picked top local artists.
Surprise guest Dan Bailey shook the crowd and got them grooving with his mesmerizing voice and soulful infectious funk reggae beats.
Notably, the volunteer first responders of SVOR served and cleared the food demonstrating their unwavering dedication and passion for their work.
Artists graciously contributed 50% of their earnings to benefit SVOR. The exhibit can be viewed on: SVOR.org.
The OUT OF THE BLUE fundraiser dinner was a resounding success. SVOR is excited to have raised enough to be able to set up an annual scholarship fund for Southampton Highschool!
