The Southampton cultural center puts on concerts in the park at Agawam Park in Southampton Village and at Cooper’s Beach in Southampton Village and it is so much fun it’s ridiculous. All of these events are sponsored by Saunders & Associates. The concerts feature live music by popular bands where people come and gather in a picnic style fashion to listen to the music.
Last week I attended the concert at Agawam Park over Memorial Day weekend which had Nancy Atlas performing. The event was so perfect and such a far cry away from the nightmare we all experienced during Covid. It was so nice to see families, friends and the community all in one place to enjoy listening to live music. Music legend Nancy Atlas knew what she was doing as she got the entire crowd rocking but also had sentimental moments where she discussed how happy she was to finally be performing once again in the Hamptons during the summertime. If you think about it, performers were so dramatically affected during the summers of Covid.
We brought a blanket, a bottle of cold rosé with plastic cups, some seltzer water as well as hummus and crackers and we had an absolute ball. As Hamptons residents we are so lucky that these concerts exist, and it is so exciting to know that we have the entire summer to go to these concerts. Don’t miss out on this free and priceless event in the Hamptons throughout the summer. They happen every every Wednesday and start at 6:30 PM and they go until 8:30 PM. You can view all of the upcoming concerts by looking at the events section on hamptons.com.
