Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner, and margarita season is back! Whether you prefer it frozen or on the rocks, we’ve curated a list of the best in the Hamptons.
Dirty Bird Margarita – Blue Parrot in East Hampton
Opening Friday, May 8th
Blue Parrot’s famous margarita, the “Dirty Bird,” is generously loaded with tequila and served either frozen or on the rocks. It’s a traditional margarita, and I highly recommend adding fresh fruit puree: strawberry, peach, mango, or watermelon.
Their tacos are delicious, but I’m obsessed with their chili-spiced fries. Crunchy, spicy. A must-have.
Passion Fruit Margarita – Rita Cantina in East Hampton
Opening Friday, May 1st

Rita Cantina is perfectly located on your way to Maidstone beach. Their margarita offerings will ensure there is a drink for everyone in your group. Switch it up and try their mezcal margarita, and opt for tequila’s smokier cousin. The passion fruit margarita is served on the rocks and is the most refreshing margarita you will ever sip.
Rita’s menu is unmatched, with duck carnitas tacos, mussels topped with chipotle, garlic, and crema, a lobster tostada, and more.
La Pasión Margarita – El Verano in Southampton
Open Year-Round
If you are a tequila buff, then El Verano is the place for you. They have an extensive tequila and mezcal menu featuring Maestro Dobel 50 Cristalino to Clase Azul San Luis Potosi. La Pasión features Casa Lotos Sotol, Pantalones organic tequila blanco, jalapeño Cointreau, passion fruit, mint, lime, and Tajin rim. Finally, have a margarita your way, either on the rocks or frozen, with the tequila of your dreams.
Quesadilla de Trufa is out of this world with local corn, Mexican cheeses, huitlacoche, cream, and black truffles. Perfection. Every time you visit, you’ll want to try something new.
Prickly Pear Margarita – Rumba in Hampton Bays
Open Year-Round
This margarita features prickly pear-infused Cazadores blanco tequila, Combier, and fresh-squeezed juices. Served on the rocks, this hits the spot every time.
Known for their delicious Dominican ribs, featuring a sweet chili-ginger-soy glaze, fresh herbs, whipped sweet potatoes, and pistachios. The first time you try this, you will be hooked. The duck empanadas are unlike any empanada you’ve had, and it’s my go-to starter.
Pamplemousse Margarita – Fauna in Westhampton Beach
Open Year-Round
Fauna’s Pamplemousse Margarita features Cazadores blanco tequila, ruby red grapefruit juice, Gittard pamplemousse liqueur, and lime. Served chilled in a beautiful glass, it tastes as divine as it looks.
Fauna is known for its mouth-watering menu featuring bison carpaccio, parlato kale salad, and lobster carbonara. The carbonara is a favorite of mine, with squid-ink linguine, English peas, pancetta, blistered tomatoes, lemon-pepper cream, aged reggiano, and a panéed soft-boiled egg. Absolutely exquisite.
