The Dodds & Eder Home Gallery & Outdoor Sculpture Garden is presenting their 5th art exhibition of the season, “Excuse Me While I Kiss the Sky,” which will debut on Wednesday, July 30, and remain open through Monday, August 18, 2014. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, August 2, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Inspiration for the show was taken from Jimi Hendrix’s best-known song “Purple Haze” with the famous lyrics “Excuse Me While I Kiss the Sky.”
Artists have portrayed all themes of darkness, prayer, beauty, love pleasure and mystery based on the song. “Excuse Me While I Kiss the Sky” will feature Sydney Albertini of Amagansett, Rachael Olmi of Brooklyn, Dalton Portella of Montauk, Kate Petrone of Sag Harbor and Richard Vaux of Floyd Harbor.
Dodds & Eder Home Gallery & Outdoor Sculpture Garden is located at 11 Bridge Street in Sag Harbor. For more information, visit artwalkhamptons.com.
