For students passionate about performing arts, there’s no better way to learn the tricks of the trade then from Broadway’s best. And, on Monday, March 9th from 6 to 8 p.m., they can do just that at the Hamptons Bays High School.
The East End Arts Teeny Awards Program is presenting a panel discussion event, which will be moderated by award-winning Broadway Producer Thomas Joseph Farrell, best known for “Beautiful, The Carole King Musical.” The event, “Listen Carefully…Is Broadway Calling?,” will offer students and aspiring performers a unique opportunity to discuss a career in showbiz with the best in the business.
“We are thrilled to be providing this opportunity for local students as well as young theatre professionals and theatre lovers to get a deeper look at a career in professional theatre,” expressed Pat Snyder, Executive Director of East End Arts. “It’s not every day that you get to hear directly from the mouths of award-winning Broadway professionals on their experiences!”
The evening’s speakers are scheduled to include award-winning playwright, screenwriter and director Tina Andrews; producing artistic director and founder of Three Act Theatre Company, Eric Mark Olson; singer/songwriter Wade Preston; and choreographer and dancer Kimberly Schafer.
Admission for students is free with a valid student ID and admission for adults is $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
