East End Arts is currently looking for local artists, artisans, and craft vendors to participate in the 21st Annual Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival, East End Arts’ annual Memorial Day weekend fine arts and crafts extravaganza. The festival will take place on Sunday, May 28th, from 12 to 5 p.m., in Downtown Riverhead. This fun yearly event, which draws over 5,000 local residents and tourists, will be comprised of street painting, live music and entertainment, drumming, dance, gourmet food trucks, and much more!
“We are looking forward to our Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival again this year – now in its 21st year as a Memorial Day tradition here in Riverhead,” shared Stephanie Israel, East End Arts’ Marketing & PR Director. “There’s something for everyone including performances on the show stage, arts activities for kids, food trucks, street painting – of course – and the fine artisan and craft festival!”
All artists, artisans and crafters are welcome to exhibit and sell their work at this year’s festival.
“We are pleased to feature fine artisans and craftspeople at the festival – an opportunity to local artisans to showcase and sell their works,” she added. “In the past we have had glass art creations, jewelry, wearables, gift items, artist paintings and prints, and more!”

Additionally, East End Arts is holding an open call for street painters, who will have the chance to create a masterpiece that will be viewed by thousands. Those who pre-register will be matched with a sponsored square on a first-come-first-serve basis. East End Arts will provide the chalk and blending materials, and the registration deadline is Wednesday, May 10th. If you decide on the spur of the moment that you’d like to show off your skills, street painting squares will be available for purchase the day of the event for $20 each.
To participate in the fine artisan and craft festival, interested parties must fill out a registration form and submit photos of their work. Not only is the fair open to original art, but homemade goods such as soaps, potpourri, and jams are also acceptable. Members of East End Arts may reserve a 10′ x 10′ space for $50 and the fee for non-members is $150. Display setup will begin at 9 a.m. on the day of the event and removal of artwork may begin no earlier than 5 p.m. No commissions will be taken by East End Arts from sales of artwork and crafts.
A special offer is available for vendors who sign-up on or before Wednesday, March 15th – promotions for any early-birds will be published on the East End Arts Community Mosaic website, along with an event promotional brochure distributed to over 3,000 business and individuals.
